World Karate Confederation (WKC)
World Karate Confederation (WKC) was established by small group of karate enthusiasts in May, 4, year 1996 in Frankfurt on the Main, Germany. Why is WKC so necessary and is there place for one more World Karate Organization?
As a rule current International Karate Organizations are either federations, teaching one style, or multi-style groups. The problem is that these organizations accept only one federation from each country. So a lot of federations and organizations stay apart from the world of international karate.
WKC offers quite important conditions which allow representatives of different styles and federations to become the part of World organization without searching for compromises. Moreover, they can leave their style, size, etc., without sufficient changes. As each club and member has its own potential, WKC accepts more than one federation or association from each country.
WKC sets a goal to control, promote and facilitate the development of karate all over the world from educational, cultural and sporting point of view. All this can be achieved with by means of karate ethics, special seminars, championships and other methods which are necessary for favorable development of Karate-Do the world over. Moreover, this is important for building and maintaining relationships between members of WKC. At the moment WKC affiliated federations exist on all five continents.
Any noncommercial and nonpolitical federation, association or organization has the opportunity to become WKC member. Conditions will be only in legacy of all contenders, democratic inner structure and WKC goal and idea share. WKC never disapproves and prevents inner organization and politics of its members. It accepts every organization which follows WKC rules and has the same respectful attitude to each member.
